Ambulances do not transport cabbage, but biological waste. This clarification was made by the Sofia Emergency Service on the occasion of publications on social networks with photos that give the impression that ambulances are used as trucks for greens.
“In relation to the photos spread on social media of an ambulance, in which it is speculatively stated that vegetables are being transported, we inform you that this is Sofia’s ambulance – Sofia, carrying biological waste!”the Emergency Service told BNT.
“The ambulance was photographed this morning on the way to the slaughterhouse of the Alexandrovska Hospital. One of the small photos clearly shows the bio-waste sign. The ambulance is equipped with sound and light signals, because in case of a risky situation on the road, the presence of a threatening product “says the message.
“The insinuations in the extremely difficult situation in which the Emergency Service and the entire health system find themselves are, to put it mildly, wrong!”says the Emergency Service.
The statement came about due to a Facebook collage gaining popularity with photos of an ambulance, one of which the garbage bags look like cabbage and are strewn with comments that the ambulance is transporting vegetables. However, a closer look shows the bags with the bio-waste sign.
