The state with the most urgent measures to stop the coronavirus. To avoid ambulances with waiting patients, test and rapid check points must open in front of each hospital within 3 days.

The measure comes after the day with the saddest record so far: 51 dead. And due to the death of two young women with COVID-19, inspections began at the Kardzhali and Razgrad hospitals.

The Health Minister said he would check whether the 51 deaths were yesterday or not.

During our inspection it became clear that this is the case for the 33-year-old woman who died in Kardzhali hospital. There and in Razgrad, where a 21-year-old woman died without concomitant illnesses, the Medical Supervision Agency began inspections.

Today it was clear that the vans will be installed in front of the state hospitals.

The measure is also necessary due to increasing morbidity. In the past 30 days, the number of cases has increased 10 times a day, from more than 200 to more than 2,000 a day.

Active cases have increased more than 7 times. From nearly 5,700 in early October to just over 34,000 today.

Pirogov Hospital has had 3 mobile points for several months. The last one is set on Sunday.

“They are like a waiting room where you can take and examine a complete blood count,” said Professor Asen Baltov, director of UMBALSM Pirogov.

Here, the condition of patients likely to be infected with COVID-19 and those with a proven infection is assessed.

“After each patient, a disinfection is performed to ventilate. It is not good that self-directed people come. No queues yet. With these trucks, this is exactly what we want to avoid, without the crowds, “said Baltov.

If all the flow is directed only here, accumulations are inevitable. Yesterday, Prime Minister Boyko Borissov ordered that such points be in front of all medical institutions, private or public. The Health Minister announced that the trucks will be located in front of the main state hospitals in the country.

“Apart from the consultations of people who need and cannot reach a doctor or do not answer the phone, to be able to receive a timely consultation, as well as to have a rapid antigen test,” explained Prof. Dr. Kostadin Angelov, Minister of health care.

The measures taken at this time are panic and important time has been lost for actions to control the COVID crisis, said President Rumen Radev.

“People must follow the measures, strengthen their immunity and not depend on the rescuers from television,” said the head of state.

Radev also asked for support for the Bulgarian doctors. And the Bulgarian Hospital Association continues to insist on the establishment of specialized COVID hospitals, instead of admitting infected people in all hospitals.

To date, 20 employees of the National Center for Public Health and Analysis have been assigned to the RHI of the capital. They will deliver quarantine instructions and enter data into the Unified Information Portal. They are expected to catch up in this way.
