In the coming weeks we will actively work with the Bulgarian Medical Union to help doctors know everything about each vaccine and be as useful as possible for patients on the subject. This was stated by Prime Minister Boyko Borissov in a meeting with the leaders of the Bulgarian Medical Union, in which Health Minister Kostadin Angelov also participated.

In addition to the topic of COVID-19 vaccines, the meeting also discussed the issues of equating antigen testing with PCR testing in terms of quarantine, financial support to front-line medical personnel, readiness for electronic prescribing, and improving communication between BMA and NHIF.

Meeting participants were unanimous that even closer coordination is needed in the work to fight the pandemic. In this context, the Bulgarian Medical Union will propose a representative to participate in the work of the National Operational Headquarters.

The leadership of the Medical Union expressed its support for the anti-epidemic measures introduced and for their continuation.
