Laboratories in our country can do 30 to 40 thousand tests a day

The new measures are necessary because the epidemiological situation is getting complicated. In some places, hospitals are getting tougher. This was stated in an inclusion on Viber by the Chief of Health Inspection of the State Assoc. Prof. Angel Kunchev on the BTV program “This morning”. The district headquarters could still change the measures based on morbidity there. But measures are also needed at the national level.

When asked where the number of 11,000 tests comes from, Kunchev replied that first there are not 65 laboratories in our country, only so many in the order of the Minister of Health, whose results were recognized abroad. Otherwise, a total of 185 laboratories entered data into the system and had the capacity to even reach 30-40 thousand tests per day.

I don’t like to forecast, but I look at what is happening in Europe, there is a much more difficult situation, for example in the Czech Republic, Kunchev commented. If we do not take action in time, we could have 5-6 thousand positive cases a day.

It is very likely that measures will be required for younger students, if the data shows that it is necessary, they will move to distance education, explained Adjunct Professor Kunchev. According to him, it is possible to tighten more, but without reaching a “blockage”. The afternoon time is not very effective, but in the municipalities, if necessary, it will be available if it is accepted by the municipal headquarters, Kunchev said. If this is the case, there will certainly be an extension of the state of emergency.

I regret the resignation of RHI head Dr. Dancho Penchev, he worked from 16 to 17 hours a day, but formally there was a violation of the rules with the removal of the quarantine of the president and the prime minister, said Assistant Professor Kunchev. That is why no exceptions were made. According to Kunchev, Dr. Penchev’s motives were not to interfere with the state, but the ordinance would be observed as written.

I have been given a special prescription and quarantined for 10 days, explained Associate Professor Kunchev. He had no symptoms, a PCR result that was negative yesterday.
