Annual closure in the NRA from January 1 to 10, 2021: what will be possible and what will not

In the period from January 1 to 10, 2021, the National Revenue Agency will carry out activities related to the annual completion processes for 2020 and change of operation of information systems for 2021, announced the Revenue Agency.

Individuals who file their annual income tax return will be able to file their return through the electronic service with the launch of the campaign on January 11, 2021. The filing of paper returns will also begin at the NRA offices. .

Payments to the ANR on the last business day

On December 31, 2020 at 10:00 a.m., the possibility of payment through a virtual POS of the NRA will be terminated, since:

  • Free payments will be accepted through the Virtual POS e-service of the National Revenue Agency until 10.00 am on 12.31.2020.
  • Payments with debit and credit cards at the POS terminals in the offices of the National Revenue Agency can be made until 12 noon on 12.31.2020.

Filing of corporate tax returns

The sending of the declarations through the electronic service will begin on March 1, 2021. The change in the start date is due to changes in the legislation.

The electronic service to send notifications of employment contracts will be available in the period from January 5 to 10, but the results of the processing of the data presented will be sent by the ANR in stages after January 11, 2021. The reference information in this period will be updated as of January 4 January 2021. Due to these circumstances, the Executive Agency “General Labor Inspection” is notified, says the NRA.

Persons registered under the VAT Law may submit certificates-declarations and VIES-VAT returns through the electronic service of the National Revenue Agency as of January 1, since the information will be reflected in the report of liabilities and payments after 11.01.2021.

Restoration of interrupted health insurance rights in the period from January 1 to 10, 2021 (through the payment of health contributions by citizens) it can only be done by bank transfer through commercial banks.

The health status, which will be published by the NRA on January 1, 2021, will be updated with data as of December 31, 2020, except for payments from commercial banks, which will be effective as of December 30, 2020. The status of Health will not be updated in the period from January 1 to 10. If in this period it is paid through a commercial bank, then the restoration of health rights is carried out in an office of the National Revenue Agency. The next health status update will be on January 11 and will include all data as of January 10, 2021.

The filing of Declaration form 7 in the period from January 1 to 10 will be possible through the electronic service with personal identification code or QES, as well as at the NRA offices, but the data presented will be reflected in the system after January 11.

The certification of the rights of continuous medical insurance in the period from January 1 to 11 will be carried out at the office of the National Revenue Agency at a permanent address with a paper document.

Tax and social security account information

In the period from January 1 to 10, 2021, the information on liabilities and payments, viewed through the electronic services of the ANR, will be valid as of 12/31/2020. On 11.01.2021, once the annual closing activities have been completed, the data will be updated.

Access to electronic services

Natural and legal persons will have access to all electronic services provided by the ANR during the period from January 1 to 10, 2021 inclusive, with the following exceptions:

  • The electronic service for the submission of applications for registration and withdrawal of the VAT Law will not work. These documents will be presented on paper at the NRA registration office.
  • The electronic service of sending a request for issuance of a document will not work.
  • The electronic personal identification code (PIC) confirmation service issued will not work.
