An avalanche of medical resignations at Karlovo Hospital after the opening of a new emergency room – Hospitals

All MHAT medical staff “Dr. Kiro Popov” in Karlovo resigned due to the decision of the medical staff of the regional crisis staff to open a service reception at the health center. The cabinet was officially opened and will begin operating on Monday.

There is a branch of the Emergency Department at Karlovo hospital, but patients’ dissatisfaction with faster service led to the decision by the regional crisis headquarters to open an additional emergency room at the hospital.

An emergency reception office in Karlovo has started accepting patients.

However, the doctors are against this decision and sent a written notification to the local authorities and to the regional crisis headquarters about their reasons.

“How we have worked now without this emergency room, who will work, what will be the team, what will be our role, no one can say at this stage. We do not have the physical capacity, that is, to expand the rooms and get out of bed.” Dr. Doriana Marinova – President of the Medical Council at MHAT, commented before BNT “Dr. Kiro Popov”.

The health institution employs 23 doctors. The actions they will take will be clear after a meeting with the local government on Monday.

“The manager is a manager and he is ordered to create this cabinet. In fact, our resignations were due to the fact that the doctors who will work here and work here did not want to hear us,” said Dr. Maria Abrasheva, head of the Department of Internal Affairs.

The headquarters of the regional crisis said that the existence of said cabinet is regulated by the Law of Medical Establishments and the decision was made after numerous signs and complaints from the local population that in case of urgent need for consultation, they should seek doctors in exam rooms and ambulances. the ambulance is late and does not know where to deliver the transported patient.
