Additional measures against the epidemic in the municipalities of Haskovo and Dimitrovgrad, in addition to those ordered by order of the Minister of Health, were taken at a meeting of the Regional Crisis Staff in Haskovo, said in a briefing the Chief of Staff, Regional Governor Dr. Stefka Zdravkova, quoted by BTA

The physical distance in shops, markets, flea markets and similar places is determined at least 1.5 meters. There is one-way traffic, with the exception of the Sunday market in Dimitrovgrad, where this is impossible, Dr. Zdravkova said. The use of protective masks will be mandatory in these places.

The third measure is to reduce the density in public transport, if necessary, by increasing the number of vehicles that serve the routes, added Dr. Zdravkova.

He stressed that controls and inspections in public places are being strengthened. Since last week, 63 sites have been inspected, including large hypermarkets in the area. The RHI has prepared four acts and issued seven prescriptions, of which about 20 are acts of the police for violation of the anti-epidemic measures.

The district governor also noted that so far the capacity of beds in medical institutions has not been exhausted. In the two municipalities most affected by COVID-19, Haskovo and Dimitrovgrad, the number of patients, according to RHI, is 74 and 37 people, respectively, and those hospitalized throughout the area are 38 people in three hospitals.
