A man from the staff of a nursing home in the town of Govejda tested positive for COVID-19 – Diseases

A 59-year-old man from the mentally disabled home for the elderly in the Govezhda village in Montana has a positive test for coronavirus, the Montana Regional Health Inspectorate announced.

The infected person has no symptoms of the disease and feels well. He and his wife have been placed under a 28-day quarantine at their home.

The man has been in the hospital for several months, but was called in for a PSR test as he was due to go home to work in the coming days. The Montana Health Inspectorate continues testing of nursing home staff in the region.

Positive test for coronavirus in a nursing home in Blagoevgrad

So far, two infected hygienists have been found in the house of the village of Dobri Dol, Lom municipality, and one man of the house in the village of Govejda, Georgi Damyanovo municipality. All three are asymptomatic and are quarantined in their homes. All the people housed in the home in Dobri dol were evaluated and negative.

Evidence of residents of the social institution in the town of Govejda is yet to come. There are no infected people in nursing homes in the city of Berkovitsa and the village of Gorna Verenitsa, where all staff members were evaluated. Since the start of the pandemic in the Montana area, 22 cases of people infected with COVID-19 have been found.

Of these, 16 were cured and two died. There are four active cases, three in their homes and one in a well-maintained Montana hospital. Those infected are from the municipalities of Lom, Georgi Damyanovo, Brusartsi and Montana, RHI recalled in Montana.
