A 33-year-old man with COVID died last night after waiting 2 hours for an ambulance in the capital, BTV reported.

The man was in home treatment, but his condition worsened. At 6:30 p.m., his relatives called an ambulance. When she did not arrive, they called a private ambulance. From there, however, they were sent to the Coordination Center in the capital to look for vacancies at the hospital.

At 9:00 p.m. a place was found in the hospital, after which the private ambulance arrived, but the man died.

“This has been going on for weeks and we were alarmed. At 18:41 the signal was received, at 20:23 the ambulance was at the address, but they found the dead man. This is not the first case and unfortunately it will not be the last” the spokesperson said. of Emergency Care in Sofia – Katya Sungarska.

“In the last work shift we have 418 calls, 200 of which are COVID signals,” he said, adding that it was impossible to do so.
