Pilot draws syringe in the sky for vaccination against COVID-19 in Europe – Curious

German pilot Sami Kramer pulled a giant syringe into the sky while flying a two-hundred-kilometer route, in honor of the start of immunization against COVID-19 in Europe, reports BTA.

The 20-year-old pilot had planned his route on a GPS device before taking off from a runway near Lake Constance in southern Germany.

His syringe route was recorded on the flightradar24 website.

“There are still relatively many people who are opposed to vaccination, and my flight was a reminder for them to think about it, for things to move,” Kramer told Reuters. He explicitly stressed that his flight should not be seen as a direct call for immunization.

Here’s how to prepare syringes for COVID-19 vaccines.

“It can also be seen as an expression of joy that the aviation industry has been particularly affected by the pandemic,” he said.

The vaccination campaign against COVID-19 officially started on Sunday in Germany, along with the rest of the EU. The federal government plans to provide more than 1,300,000 doses of vaccine to local health authorities in Germany by the end of the year and deliver around 700,000 doses per week starting in January next year.
