Teachers threatened to take leave and request exit in a statement to Bulgarian National Radio if their request that all students across the country go to distance education before the end of the calendar year is not fulfilled as a measure against the spread of Covid-19 in schools. .

Educators, concerned about the numerous deaths of their colleagues with positive Covid tests and united in the Facebook group “Teachers for a safe education”, identified as ineffective and inadequate the latest measures by the Ministries of Health and Education to address the spread of infection in schools, handed over to the BNR.

“Many colleagues have the idea of ​​leaving the system, and this means that they will not be present, but they will not receive training,” warned Lilia Stoyanova, a computer science professor at the Third Higher School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics in Varna.

He described as ineffective the measure announced by the Minister of Health – all students in schools with more than 20% morbidity to switch to distance education on Thursday: “Expecting 20% ​​of patients tested and symptomatic, after no test This is not a solution. There is also criticism in teaching circles for the opportunity provided by the Minister of Education to pedagogical councils to force students to wear masks in class, because students often use the masks incorrectly and thus lose their effect and because they do not take consider the severity of the problem. 1st to 4th grade.

“Every day I personally see how the masks are thrown away, there are masks on the floor, there are under the chin, disinfectants are not taken. It is difficult for children to follow any measure.
