After today the quorum was secured in parliament with the third attempt on the sidelines with the minimum of 121 votes and the first reading of the three budgets for next year – health, social and republican – was on the agenda, GERB tried to disarm to the opposition of the possibility of failing the session. , using the only option per day for name verification.

While the deputies of the BSP and the MRF left the room because they did not participate in obtaining a quorum, the Speaker of Parliament, Tsveta Karayancheva, read the names of some of them and counted them, then announced the presence of 130 people and continued the session .

However, several representatives of the two parties said from the parliamentary platform that they were illegally counted and did not want to be included in the lists because they were out. According to them, there was no quorum and the meeting should be closed.

“Whether my body is here or not, what they have seen is how I leave the room and I don’t want to participate,” said Tasko Ermenkov of the BSP. His colleague Hamid Hamid announced: “I left the salon a long time ago, you can’t tell me.”

In response, the chairman of the meeting, Valery Simeonov, said: “His body was here. Mentally, he may have been elsewhere, but his body was here when his name was spoken, and I saw him in person.”

According to BSP and MRF, the ruling party is violating the constitution. The Socialists even threatened to appeal the approval of the budgets to the Constitutional Court, since voting without a quorum makes them illegitimate.

The BSP deputies claim that to have a quorum in the room, their colleagues from the ruling parties were quarantined at work this morning. According to the ruling deputies of the red group, they are in contact with Cornelia Ninova, but they also come to the National Assembly. Both parties justified themselves by saying that there were no prescriptions from the health authorities.

Finally, the BSP sent a letter to the Minister of Health requesting that it be announced how many and which of the deputies should be quarantined.

The Socialists then announced that they would not participate in the meeting. MRF deputies remained at work, but announced that they would not be in plenary next week due to suspicions that quarantined or sick deputies were participating in the quorum.
