“The new budget will be discussed and may undergo certain changes before its adoption,” said the Minister of Social.

Sacheva noted that a total of BGN 214 million has been pledged under the Personal Assistance Law and BGN 85 million under the Social Services Law:

“We are also increasing the salaries of personal assistants. We are doing everything we can to find a balance between people with disabilities who adhere to the Personal Assistance Act and those for whom the Social Services Act is also important. It is anticipated that the “personal assistant” service covers about 80,000 people.
