I heard that the Minister of Health said that not all schools should switch to e-learning. For now, we are sticking to the scheme above: separate classes and classes will be quarantined. We will act locally: in the areas that are in the red and orange zone, it will be evaluated which schools may be closed. It will all depend on the level of morbidity in the individual schools.

This was announced in the BNT program “From the day” by the Minister of Education Krassimir Valchev, who commented on the situation with COVID-19 in schools and kindergartens.

Krassimir Valchev: In Targovishte there is psychosis between parents and teachers

“Since the beginning of the school year, 289 teachers have been infected. There are 286 children and students. The number of teachers is 10% higher because there are 920,000 students and children in kindergartens and 90,000 teachers. This confirms the data that students are infected fewer or carry the coronavirus without symptoms. The measures must be followed, because where there are clusters it is clear that the measures are not fulfilled. The good thing is that the quarantine is reduced to 10 days and thus more than 95% of the system will be able to function even in the event of a serious deterioration of the situation.

“The quality of education is a function of several things. It is very important how demanding the teacher will be. We appeal precisely for that. Not only tablets do e-learning. Certainly the number of young people in the system has increased. We are beginning to Overcome the teacher shortage. “A few years ago, things seemed very worrying, but now they are improving. However, there is still room to work, “said Minister Valchev.
