NOVA RESEARCH: How do you get a master’s degree without a bachelor’s degree? (Part II)

[ad_1]

Desislava Yordanova has applied to leave Rodopi Municipality in Plovdiv, where she held the position of Chief Expert at the Department of Education. This was confirmed by the management of the Municipality of NOVA. The Reds City Council in Plovdiv has decided not to celebrate it and not to run for managerial positions next year. But how did you get here?

In previous NOVA research, we showed how without a bachelor’s degree, you can go straight to a master’s degree and then be appointed as chief expert in municipal administration with the document. We are talking about Desislava Yordanova from Plovdiv, who already has a revoked diploma from the Plovdiv Medical University.

NOVA RESEARCH: How to get a master’s degree without a bachelor’s degree?

Reactions followed. The Plovdiv prosecutor’s office immediately filed a complaint and the Economic Police launched an investigation. Yordanova was summoned for questioning. Members of his party in the city under the hills also reacted.

Desislava Yordanova announced in the media that she has a bachelor’s degree. However, a NOVA team verified if this was indeed the case.

I showed the diploma for the completed higher education degree “teacher” from Desislava Yordanova. It is clear from the document that in 2010 he graduated with honors in Health Management. We also tell how in 2009 Yordanova applied to Medical University with an application stating that in addition to the fee paid, she also attached a copy of a completed higher education diploma from Paisii Hilendarski University in Plovdiv.

However, the Medical University found only one official note stating that Desislava Yordanova had a university degree from the Paisii Hilendarski University of Plovdiv in the Faculty of Economics, with a specialization in Marketing and Management. It should be noted that the name of the university is misspelled.

AFTER NOVA INVESTIGATION: Prosecutor’s Office complains of false diplomas

We also found more misspellings. In addition, it is not clear from the stamp of the document who issued it.

We understand that Yordanova did not graduate from the Faculty of Economics at Paisii Hilendarski University in Plovdiv, because he does not exist there. There is no such specialty “Marketing and Management”, university management is categorical.

It was also clear that the Paisii Hilendarski University of Plovdiv had not issued an “Official Note” to Desislava Georgieva Yordanova, because the university does not have the practice of issuing such notes. There is only one certificate issued on the University form.

While we waited for him to present us with his bachelor’s degree, as he had promised on several occasions through correspondence and telephone conversations, his diploma from the University of Medicine was annulled by decision of the Academic Council.

The diploma has been removed from all records of the University of Medicine. An investigation was launched and Desislava Yordanova was questioned by the Economic Police. According to our information, he also did not present a bachelor’s degree to the police.

In addition, Desislava Yordanova circulated a new version of her bachelor’s degree in front of the media. She explained to BNR that she has a BA from Plovdiv Paisii Hilendarski University – Lyuben Karavelov Branch in Kardzhali.

We asked the director of PU-Branch “Lyuben Karavelov” in Kardzhali for a comment. The official reply from Professor Dr. Iliana Velcheva clearly states that Desislava Yordanova has never enrolled in the Lyuben Karavelov branch of Kardzhali University and therefore there is no data on her student status in the branch register.

Six accused of falsifying ID cards, diplomas and driver’s licenses

In the opinion of the branch, they categorically emphasize once again that PU does not issue an official note, but a certificate. Furthermore, the official note delivered by Desislava Yordanova to MU does not belong to the Branch and contains incorrect information.

The fact that Yordanova graduated from the Plovdiv University branch in Kardzhali is also affirmed by her father, the member of the 44th National Assembly Georgi Yordanov. He came under the scrutiny of the NOVA team because during our investigation he tried to pressure the material not to spread. Our team has evidence of this.

It is interesting that Georgi Yordanov was the head of a department at MU when his daughter graduated with a master’s degree there.

“Associate Professor Yordanov is part of the academic body of our university and, despite his political career, he is still a member of this academic body, a qualified person in one of the respected departments. He was in the College of Dental Medicine until the beginning of this year. I had a phone conversation with him when I received a signal from him and he informed me that he would send a diploma from the University of Plovdiv to the branch in Kardzhali, but we did not receive it until the end of the inspection, “explained Prof. Dr. Mariana Murdzheva, Rector of the Plovdiv Medical University.

The Reds City Council in Plovdiv also verified the authenticity of Yordanova’s diploma to obtain a full degree.

AFTER NOVA INVESTIGATION: Police pursued a suspected doctor

“This is a crime. This is not a mistake and it is not a pardon. In fact, I don’t know, maybe the authorities should be contacted and action taken. This was not done by a single person, for example, say, only her. “. “You don’t have a bachelor’s or master’s degree, and they make you chief expert. I smile, but the authorities should take care of this. There are a lot of people involved, at least I think so,” said BSP Plovdiv regional president Georgi Gergov. .

He appointed an inspection, reactions followed, and yet Yordanova was elected a member of the party’s National Council during the Reds Congress in Sofia.

The inspection of the District Attorney’s Office – Plovdiv must be completed within a month or at the end of October.

However, the question remains: if you have a document that you can rebut everyone with, why not just show it? What will the researchers decide? A NOVA team continues to monitor the case.
