Borissov with important news about the money of retirees on the Day of the Aged

In the most difficult days of the pandemic, we made the life, health and social care of our elderly an unconditional priority.

This was written on Facebook by Prime Minister Boyko Borissov on the occasion of the International Day of the Elderly.

This is what he pointed out:

“We do not allow COVID-19 to spread uncontrollably in social services. We provide disinfectants, hot lunch and home care to lonely and distressed people.

We increased pensions by 6.7% in the difficult economic situation. This month, for the third time in a row, the 2.1 million pensioners will receive a supplement of BGN 50 to meet, for example, their most urgent drug needs.

This support will continue until the end of our term. With the draft budget for next year, we will seek a fair update of pensions. While others speak, we act and do not commit to achieving a decent old age for retirees.

On the International Day of the Elderly today, I thank our mothers and fathers for their efforts to build us as individuals and as a society. ”
