Borissov: The most difficult 1.5 years are coming, we are preparing a plan for the next months

The worst year and a half is coming. We are preparing a plan for the coming months, because the country must be prepared to face the crisis that follows the pandemic.

This was stated by Prime Minister Boyko Borissov, who on Saturday at the wheel of his jeep inspected the construction of the new section of the ring road between the Gorublyane road junction and the Mladost road junction. He was accompanied by the Minister of Economy, Lachezar Borisov, and his trip was traditionally shown live on the prime minister’s Facebook profile.

The Prime Minister noted that economic and financial measures to support businesses continue to work and focus on the good work of our health and medical services.

“Once again, we continue to manage the pandemic better in Europe. Without people feeling the mental tension, everything works, there is no sector that is not working at the moment, unlike Europe. And our indicators are still the best,” he said . the first Minister. He added that the global economic recession continues and the worst months are ahead.

“This is what a failed state looks like. I want them to show me what they have done in 30 years. I let people judge,” he said. And he pointed out “the army of rollers, and that with the construction of the route people will travel for 2 minutes from” Mladost “to the” Trakia “highway without realizing it.

“You see, both on Saturdays and on holidays, the builders work, and there were only two lanes. We made the traffic so as not to close the entire stretch and have a traffic jam. This part has a new water supply, sewage, lighting. This is just for 30 days of work, ”he said.

Next week we will start traffic on one lane of the South Arc of the Sofia ring road between Gorublyane and Mladost, he added.

The section widens into two lanes with three lanes in each direction, a middle dividing strip, dividing strips between the premises and the direct route, two local lanes and sidewalks. The new Sofia ring road route will provide a connection between the Struma and Trakia highways, facilitate transit traffic from the Europa highway and the connection to the border crossings with Turkey and Greece. The investment is 142.7 million BGN and comes from the national budget.
