The section widens into two lanes with three lanes in each direction, a middle dividing strip, dividing strips between the premises and the direct route, two local lanes and sidewalks. The new Sofia ring road route will provide a connection between the Struma and Trakia highways, facilitate transit traffic from the Europa highway and the connection to the border crossings with Turkey and Greece. The investment is 142.7 million BGN and comes from the national budget.
