Biden receives lower turnout in Milwaukee County after Trump-requested recount

Biden had a net gain of 132 votes, with President Donald Trump receiving 134,482 votes and Biden 317,527, according to results announced Friday night by the Midwid Key County Board of Canvassers.

But more than 27,000 ballots that are part of the count are being separated by the Trump campaign after two objections.

The campaign objected to more than 25,000 absentee ballots cast by so-called “indefinitely limited” individuals who could cast absentee ballots for fear of an epidemic.

The campaign also objected to the 2,197 ballots that were “healed”, a legally sanctioned procedure in which an election official misses information on a ballot envelope, often identified because the official did so with a separate ink from the voter.

According to the Milwaukee County Clark’s office fee, the Trump campaign has indicated it will appeal the certification decision based on the controversy over these separatist votes.

Another county that is part of the state count, Dan, is expected to complete its count in the next few days. The state must certify its results by Tuesday.

CNN predicts that Biden will win Wisconsin after Trump’s 2016 victory, turning the state back to blue.
