Biden promotes mail-in-vote, swiping at Trump over Florida’s primary vote

Presumptive Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden took aim at President Trump on Friday after the president requested e-mail votes for Florida’s primary election next Tuesday.

“Voice by mail is safe and secure,” Biden said tweeted. “And do not take my word for it: Take it from the president, who just asked for his Florida primary ballot on Tuesday.”

EVERYTHING YOU STILL KNOW ABOUT MAIL-IN MOOD IN 2020

Records from the Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections website show that a request for President and First Lady Melania Trump came Wednesday.

USA Today reported Thursday that voters will have to travel to Washington, DC, where the couple could vote, and then return before 7 a.m. ET Tuesday, when all emails should be submitted.

According to the Sun-Sentinel, the number of people voting by mail two weeks before the vote is already higher in August 2016 and 2018 than sending out ballot papers.

Biden’s jab comes on the heels of weeks of harsh criticism from the president over the use of post-vote, and told the American people that post-vote would encourage misguided actors who attempt election fraud in ‘ the upcoming elections in November.

On Thursday, Fox Business President Maria Bartiromo said part of the reason negotiations on a fourth economic relief package were delayed was a Democratic-led push for funding for expanded post-in-ballots amid the pandemic.

“It’s her fault,” Trump said. “They want $ 3.5 billion for something that is fraudulent … for the post-vote, universal post-vote. They want $ 25 billion for the post office. They need that money so it can work. and they can take those millions and millions of ballots. “

The president continued with the practice, claiming that votes were sent “to dogs” and “dead people”.

“How would you like to have $ 3.5 billion for mail submission?” He asked. “You know how much money that is? They want $ 25 billion for the post office, because the post office has to go to the city to get these ridiculous votes in.”

Echoing National Director of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Director Dr. Anthony Fauci, went on to say to the president that “there is nothing wrong with coming out and voting” amid the coronavirus pandemic.

“I think if done carefully, according to the guidelines, there’s no reason I can see why that’s not the case,” Fauci told ABC News this week. “If you wear a mask, if you observe the physical distance and do not have a full situation, there is no reason why you can not do that.”

Trump endorsed Florida as an exception.

Last week, he tweeted that his supporters should apply for an absentee ballot and vote there by mail because the electoral system in the Republican-run battle state is “Safe and secure, tried and true.”

Democrats have backed down on the presidential basis, claiming that Trump and the Republican Party are trying to suppress the vote.

Election experts say voting by post is more susceptible to fraud than casting a vote in person, but they have seen no evidence of widespread fraud or that absentee ballots are voting for Democrats.
