Biden outlines plans to reverse Trump’s policies on the first day of his presidency



President-elect Joe Biden will backtrack on some of President Trump’s controversial policies and address epidemics, the economic downturn, climate change and racial inequality in his first 10 days in office.

Driving News: That’s according to a memo from Biden’s incoming Chief of Staff Ron Klein on Saturday. Klein said that after Buden’s inauguration on Wednesday, he would sign about a dozen actions to combat the four crises.

Zoom in: Biden’s actions on the day of his presidency include rejoining the Paris Climate Agreement, suspending payments on federal student loans, resisting Trump’s travel ban to the United States from many Muslim-majority countries and issuing a mask order in an effort to stop circling. The case of Covid 19.

  • On Thursday, Biden will sign a number of executive actions aimed at changing the course of the COVID-19 crisis and reopening safe schools and businesses.

  • On Friday, the president will direct “elected cabinet agencies” to take immediate action to provide financial relief to families working as a result of the coronavirus crisis, Klein wrote.

  • Between January 25 and February 1, Biden will take steps to improve the climate crisis, criminal justice reform, access to health care, and improve immigration – including reuniting families separated at the border under Trump’s immigration policy.

For listing: All of these steps were announced earlier, but this is the first time Biden’s timetable has come out.
