Police rescued the 9-year-old boy on Monday night and presented Lopa at the Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
The investigating officer in the case brought by the boy’s mother at the Shahbagh Police Station held Lopa in custody for seven days and asked to be questioned.
After the hearing, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Nivana Khair ordered Jesse to be held in pre-trial detention for two days.
On the other hand, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Ilias Mia handed over Zinnia to her mother, Senura Begum.
Zinnia has been missing since eating phukka with two unidentified women at the Suhrawardy Udyan gate adjacent to the TSC on September 1.
Senura came to the TSC area with her three children from Bhairab in Kishoreganj seven years ago after her husband, the truck driver, was killed in an accident.
He spent the night on the veranda of the TSC with his two daughters Cynthia (6), Zinnia (9) and his son Palash (18). Xenia and Cynthia sell flowers during the day and support their mother’s family. And Palash now works in a tea shop.
