Zayed Khan’s membership of the Bangladesh Film Producers and Distributors Association has been temporarily suspended. It has been confirmed that a notice was sent to ZK Movies from Zayed Khan, Secretary General of the Association of Motion Picture Artists in Kakrail, Dhaka.
Samsul Alam, general secretary of the Producers and Distributors Association, confirmed this to Jago News on Sunday (October 25) evening.
“The decision was made at a formal meeting of the producers’ association based on the recent activities of Zayed Khan,” he said.
Meanwhile, actor and producer Zayed Khan admitted to receiving a notice from the media.
Last July, 16 organizations associated with the film declared Zayed Khan, general secretary of the artists’ association, unwanted, alleging that he was involved in activities against the film’s interests. Then on July 12, the Bangladesh Film Producers and Distributors Association issued a notice of cause of the show to Zayed Khan. Zayed Khan also responded to the ad.
However, the Association of Film Producers and Distributors is not satisfied with that response. In light of this, after detailed discussion at the association’s 11th meeting on October 3, Zayed Khan’s membership was suspended after a thorough analysis of the type and scope of the crime.
Zayed Khan’s membership will be temporarily suspended in accordance with Section 16 (c (3)) of the Association Rules until the Executive Council makes a decision in the future.
