The dispute with the older brother Asad Miah (55) over the part of the ancestral property in Katiadi of Kishoreganj increased day by day. Because of this, younger brother Deen Islam (40) killed three family members, including his older brother. Police said the younger brother had given this information during preliminary questioning.
Asad Mia (55), his wife Parveen Akhter (45) and their son Md. Leon’s body (12) was recovered on Thursday. Deen Islam was detained and questioned by the police.
Meanwhile, a case was closed for the incident on Saturday morning, two days after the murder. Asad Miah’s eldest son, Tofazzal Miah, presented the murder case. No one has been named a defendant in the case. However, nine family members have been mentioned in the description of the incident. They are the applicant’s uncle, Deen Islam, grandmother Kewa Khatun, uncle Nazma Begum and Taslima Begum, uncle Fazlu Mia, stepbrother Al Amin, Azizul Islam, Mizan Mia and Raihan Mia.
Deen Islam, Kewa Khatun, Nazma and Al Amin were arrested and taken to the police station on the day the bodies were recovered. They have been shown detained after the case. They will be sent to Kishoreganj jail through court in the afternoon.
