In Rajshahi, a group of young people protested against the harassment of a smoking woman. They also smoked in public in protest. The elegant protest was staged on Friday night along the city’s Circuit House Road, smoking in public. However, they said the protest was not intended to encourage anyone to smoke.

“We sing together,” said a young woman who participated in the protest. Those of us who smoke have smoked there. Smoking is part of our protest. Previously, a woman was harassed for smoking in public. It is not okay to smoke. Men smoke in public, but women are avoided. We protest against this double standard.
Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) spokesman Golam Ruhul Quddus said: “We know about the girl. I also saw the video. Legal action could only have been taken if a written complaint had been received from the victims. But no no complaints were received.
