A young man named Nur Rahman Alex (21) died after being electrocuted while playing a mobile game in Sonaimuri upazila of Noakhali. Police recovered Mizi Bari’s body from Amirabad village in Deoti Union of upazila on Sunday morning. The deceased was identified as Alex, son of Mahfuzur Rahman from Padipara village under the union of Amishapara.
Locals said Nur Rahman Alex was pursuing a diploma at the Northern Institute of Science Technology. He came with his mother Parveen Akter from Dhaka a few days ago to visit his grandfather’s house in Deoti Union. On Saturday night, Nana Joynal was playing games on her mobile phone while sitting on the roof of the Abedinan house. At that time, electricity was connected to Mosharraf Hossain’s house from the same house through a lateral line from Nur Alam’s house. Alex was accidentally electrocuted and fell to the ceiling, hitting his head and died of excessive bleeding. When his relatives rescued him and took him to the Upazila Health Complex, the doctor on duty declared him dead.
Said the Sonaimuri police officer in charge. Gias Uddin confirmed the incident and said that the body was sent to Noakhali General Hospital for autopsy after preparing the preliminary investigation report.
