Dhaka: Muktijuddha Mancha has withdrawn its Shahbag sit-in program to demand the arrest of the defendant in the rape case of a Dhaka University (DU) student. The blockade was lifted on Saturday (October 10) around 6 in the afternoon.
Earlier, the Muktijuddha Mancha took position on the main Shahbagh road with a procession around 4:30 pm.
As a result of being located on the Muktijuddha Mancha road, there was a huge traffic jam around. You can notice the extreme suffering of the people who walk this way.
Muktiyuddha Mancha’s job program called for the immediate arrest of those involved in the rape of a Dhaka University student. At the same time, it was reported that the sit-in program will be observed until the defendants are arrested.
After the withdrawal of the sit-in program, Muktijuddha Mancha chairman Aminul Islam Bulbul told banglanews: “We are withdrawing our blockade program with the suffering of the people in mind.”
When asked if there are any other programs in the future, he said, “If the program is accepted, you will be informed.”
