The first cold snap of the season started in three districts of Rangpur on Friday. The next day, on Saturday, it spread to at least 36 districts of all divisions except the Chittagong division. On the same day, the lowest temperature recorded in Rajarhat in Kurigram was 7.8 degrees Celsius, which is the lowest temperature so far this season. The department’s forecast said the weather across the country could remain dry. From late at night to the early hours of the morning, moderate to heavy fog can fall in some parts of the country’s river basin and light to moderate fog in other parts of the country. Nighttime temperatures can drop slightly across the country and daytime temperatures can remain almost unchanged. A mild cold wave is expected in the northwestern part of the country.
