The man himself reported to the police station after the incident took place in Bhuiya North Bharaipur, Feni Municipality, on Wednesday afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Tahmina Akhter, 25, who has a 1.5-year-old daughter.

Police arrested her husband Obaidul Haque Tutul, 42. Tutul is the son of Maula Bhuiyan, a slave to the house.

The inspector (investigation) of the Feni Sakhedul Islam model police station said that after the incident, Tutul called the hotline and asked the police to come to his home. The service officer from the Feni Model Police Station went to the house.

Upon receiving the news, the police went to Tutul’s house and arrested her. He also recovered weapons and mobile phones used in the murder.

The victim’s sister, Rehana Akhter, said that Tahmina, the daughter of Sahabuddin from the Akadia village of Gunwati in the Comilla district, fled five years ago and married Tutul. Since marriage, they often had conflicts with financial instability.

Meanwhile, her husband Tutul took a large amount of money from her father-in-law. At one point, when pressed for more money, Tahmina expressed her inability to pay. Tutul came to Facebook Live on Wednesday afternoon and beat his wife and killed her.

Meanwhile, in the video immediately prior to the murder of his wife, Tutul apologized to everyone and confessed to the murder. Tutul also blamed his wife for the family turmoil.

Tutul also claimed that his wife would blackmail his family. In the video, she urges everyone to take care of her daughter and her siblings.

Sahab Uddin, father of the late Tahmina, said: “My daughter was forced to marry with great force. After marriage, my daughter lived in Chittagong with her husband. Jamai Tutul used to torture Tahmina for dowry in recent years.

“I borrowed a few points and gave the money to Tutul. In recent days, Tutul demanded Tk 25,000 for the business through the daughter. I borrow 3,000 rupees. So my daughter used to torture her regularly for the remaining 3,000 rupees. Today, she kills my daughter. “

Tutul’s cousin Zahirul Islam said he never saw any misbehavior in Tutul. He worked for a long time at a fabric store in Dhaka. Obaidul Haque returned to Feni’s house after it closed in Dhaka after a coronavirus infection.

“We were in the next room in his house when the incident happened this afternoon, but we couldn’t light it.”

The officer in charge of the Model Feni Police Station, Alamgir Hossain, said that the police initially believed that such an incident had occurred in connection with the family dispute.

“The victim’s family is preparing for the case.”

The police recovered the body and sent it to the morgue at Feni General Hospital for an autopsy.
