Former Dakshur Vice Chairman Nurul Haque Nur, a student in the 11th group of the Department of Islamic Studies at Dhaka University, has filed a rape case at the Kotwali Police Station in the capital. The case was filed at the Kotwali Police Station on the afternoon of September 21 under the Prevention of Abuse of Women and Children Act and the Digital Safety Act.
In the case brief, the plaintiff mentioned that the second defendant in the case, Hasan Al Mamun, the convenor of the Bangladesh Student Rights Council, was identified as the older brother on July 29, 2016 as a student of the eighth batch of the same department. Because he was the older brother of the department, a love story developed at one stage of the conversation with him.
The plaintiff then spoke with the defendant Hasan Al Mamun on Messenger, Hotspot and Emo. There Mamun hints at physical contact at different times. As a result, the plaintiff was asked to go to Bara Masjid Road, 104, Lalbagh area in Nawabganj at around 2 pm on March 2 this year. When the plaintiff went there, Mamun took his home and raped him. Following the incident, on April 1, the plaintiff fell ill and was admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital through Nazmul Hasan Sohag, the number one defendant in the case and a friend of Hasan Al Mamun.
When the matter was published in various newspapers, the plaintiff tried to contact his campus coordinators, which did not allow Nazmul Hasan Sohag, the number one defendant, to succeed under Hasan Al Mamun’s instructions. Instead, the plaintiff tried to prevent him from staying in the hospital. The plaintiff mentioned in the case that this could have been the cause of the plaintiff’s death.
The plaintiff further mentioned in the case that in the meantime, when Hasan Al Mamun was pressured to marry, he agreed to do so. But when the plaintiff recovered, the defendant began making various excuses for getting married. Later, as there was no contact with Hasan Al Mamun, the first defendant in the case was brought to 563/56 Municipal Hawkers Market, Sadarghat Hotel and Restaurant under the Kotwali Police Station at 8:40 a.m. with a false guarantee of meeting. and solve the case with Mamun.
From there, Nazmul Hasan Sohag displayed various temptations and led the plaintiff to Chandpur by jumping. While there, the plaintiff became suspicious because he could not see Hasan Al Mamun, the second defendant in the case, and asked Sohag to return to Dhaka immediately. On the way back to Dhaka that afternoon, Sohag, the number one defendant in the case, forcibly raped the plaintiff in the launch booth. Crying at the moment, Sohag wants to present the left as a spoiled girl and fears she will have more people at the launch. He intimidated the plaintiff in various ways and told him that crying would be of no benefit. At the same time, she asked not to tell anyone about Hassan Al Mamun. Then at 8 pm they reached Sadarghat.
Defendant Sohag opened two fake Facebook IDs and spread the plaintiff’s phone number in different sex groups for the purpose of humiliating the plaintiff.
Later, when the plaintiff informed Nurul Haque Nuru about the matter, he informed Mamun of his advice and promised to speak with the defendants and resolve the matter amicably. Then Nurul Haque Nuru went to meet him in Nilkhet on June 24 with the assurance of reconciliation.
But there Nur avoided the issue of settlement and forbade the plaintiff to go too far on the matter. Nur said that if the plaintiffs go too far, they will post the plaintiffs’ names with their fans and promote them as prostitutes. They have 1.2 million members on the Student Rights Council. All the plaintiff’s honor will be lost in one of their lives.
The plaintiff also mentioned that the fourth defendant in the Saiful Islam case has already defamed the fifth defendant Md. Nazmul Huda and the seventh defendant Abdullah Hill put the rest. They work collectively to alter the character of the plaintiff in various ways in the group chat messenger.
The plaintiff said in the case that all local leaders and activists from the Student Rights Council were aware of the incident. The plaintiff alleged in the case that the aforementioned defendants took her to Chandpur with false guarantees and various temptations, raped her and cooperated in the rape.
