She is now a fourth-year honors student in the Department of Sociology at Jessore Government City College.

Katha’s husband, Jayant Ghosh, said that when a tumor appeared on Katha’s body, he was taken to Kolkata in February for advanced treatment. After the operation there, he was diagnosed with leukemia.

Then Dr. HCG Eco Cancer Center in Kolkata. Treatment was started under the supervision of Joydeep Chakraborty. There he received 12 chemotherapy treatments over eight months. Although the physical condition improves at the beginning, after the end of chemotherapy, the cancer germs are found in the body again.

Doctors said six more bone marrow transplants were needed, along with chemotherapy. This requires around Rs 20 lakh.

Jayant Ghosh also said that they are middle class families. His little clothing store in the village market. The family lives on this income. Meanwhile, they have spent around 12 lakh rupees for speech treatment. They went to Calcutta on February 12 and returned on October 4. After a month, the doctors told him to come back. But they are in complete darkness about the provision of money.

Kathar’s father, Tuhin Dasgupta, said: “I need 20 lakh rupees to save my daughter.” Even if millions of people in the country pay 1 taka, it is a lot. He appealed to wealthy people in society to cooperate to save the word.
