Hefazat leader Mamunul Haque has claimed that the woman, who was staying at the Royal Resort in Sonargaon, had divorced her husband and married him.
Mamunul Haque arrived on Facebook Live after 10pm on Saturday and claimed that the woman’s previous husband was her close friend. She married him after divorcing her husband.
Mamunul Haque was accompanied by his older brothers Hafez Mahmud, Hafez Mahbub and Maulana Mahfuzul Haque.
Speaking live on Facebook, Mamunul Haque said: “I needed a little rest due to my hard work.” That is why I went there today. With was my second wife. The police have confirmed all the information.
“My second wife was the ex-wife of a close friend,” he said. They also have two children. Then, as a family, I married her.
Earlier on Saturday night, Maulana Mamunul Haque was locked into the Royal Resort in Narayanganj’s Sonargaon upazila. Hundreds of people gathered in front of the resort to hear the news of its blockade. At that moment they began to destroy with slogans. Later he was rescued and taken away.
