Kufa people are interested in Bayat When the Iraqis discovered in 80 AH that Hussein had not taken an oath of allegiance to Yazid ibn Mu’awiyah, they sent 500 letters to some 150 dissidents expressing an interest in pledging allegiance to Hussein. Husayn (ra) sent his cousin Muslim ibn Akil to Kufa to check the actual situation and the people of Kufa began to take the promise into the hands of Muslim on behalf of Husayn (ra).
Preparations to suppress the rebellion in Kufa : Umayyad Caliph Yazid entrusts Governor Ubaydullah bin Ziad with the task of suppressing the revolt of the Kufa people. When Ubaydullah warned the people of Kufa about Yazid, they broke their promise and fled. Meanwhile, the Muslim Ibn Akil wrote a letter warning Husain: ‘Husain! Go back to your family. Don’t be fooled by the people of Kufa. Because they lied to you. They didn’t tell me the truth either. This information provided by me is not false.
Before sending this letter, the Muslim Ibn Akil requested Husain (RA) to go to Kufa at the request of the Kufa people. On the basis of that letter, he set out for Kufr. Most of the Companions, including Abdullah bin Abbas, Abdullah bin Omar, Abdullah bin Amr, prohibited Husain from going to Kufa. They also recalled that Ali 4 was mercilessly martyred at the hands of the Kufa people. But he continued the journey, ignoring all prohibitions.
Obstacles for Syria : Receiving a letter from a Muslim on the way, he avoided the Kufr road and took the road to Syria. The purpose was to meet with Yazid. But Yazid’s troops blocked his way. They refused to let him go anywhere. As a result, the war between the two groups became inevitable. They continued the war with infinite courage.
Martyrdom of Husain (RA) and his companions : At one point while fighting, he and his companions were martyred. The path of the treaty was blocked by the manipulation of a beast named Shamir Ibn Juljaoshan. In this battle of Assam, Husayn (ra) fell to the ground and the Prophet’s beloved grandson (saas) was martyred.
According to the investigation, after the martyrdom, the body of Husain ibn Ali 4 had a total of 33 spears and 34 swords, in addition to several arrow wounds. And around 61-63 people on his side were martyred.
