The West Indies tour of England was also postponed earlier due to the coronavirus. The Caribbeans were scheduled to tour England in June to play a three-game test series.

The West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) decided to postpone the England tour due to the current coronavirus situation in the UK and international air travel.

Johnny Grave, executive director of the West Indies Cricket Board, said in a statement about the postponement of the tour: The Cricket Board of England and Wales (ECB) has agreed with our decision. They are also not interested in the series. However, in the future, the two boards will continue to discuss the series. We will not play any cricket match with the risks to the health of the players. Our medical team is monitoring the situation.

However, the ECB announced last month that boards and clubs would not host any cricket matches in their home countries until July 1.

The West Indies-England series was slated to begin June 4 with the Oval Trial. The second test was scheduled to start at Edgbaston on June 12 and the third and final at Lord’s on June 25.
