Noakhali: Police raided the home of Juba League leader Mojibul Rahman Sharif, who was arrested in connection with the rape of a distant aunt in Noakhali’s Chatkhil upazila Noakhali union, and recovered weapons and ammunition.
Chatkhil Police Officer in Charge (CO) Anwarul Islam told banglanews on Wednesday night (October 21) that according to information provided by Sharif after his arrest, a weapon, two rounds of ammunition, were recovered. and an empty beer can from his residence near Yasin Bazar in Noakhala Union’s No. 1 district Wednesday night. Five mobile phones, a condom packet and a laptop were recovered.
He said preparations were under way to bring another case under the Gun Act against Sharif, who was arrested in the incident.
The arrested is the son of Rafiqul Islam Khokon from Noakhala Union District No. 1 in Sharif Upazila and president of the Noakhala Union Juba League.
