“However, this crime is happening somewhere. Recently, incidents such as rape have also escalated in neighboring countries. We have to unite against those social ills, regardless of party affiliation, and build social resistance. “
Recently, rape incidents are taking place in different parts of the country. The video went viral on social media a month after a woman was stripped and tortured in Noakhali’s Begumganj upazila. The 35-year-old woman was rescued and taken into police custody.
On Sunday night, the victim filed a case charging 7-8 more people by mentioning the names of nine people. Law enforcement agencies have arrested four people, including the main defendant in the case.
Obaidul Quader asked people not to politicize all issues and said: “Political parties, socio-cultural organizations and voluntary organizations must come together and build social resistance on at least one of those issues.”
“Everyone should speak out against antisocial evil. I call on everyone to come together for a safe movement of all citizens of the country and to prevent violence and heinous crimes against women. Help subdue the perpetrators to the law without indulging. I will also subject clients to the law. “
When asked by journalists about the names of the government-backed student organizations that proposed the violation, Quader said: “How can the government avoid responsibility when it is in power?” The government is not going crazy. The government takes responsibility in all matters and whoever is involved in these incidents on the instructions of the Prime Minister, whoever is in our party identity must be punished by law. That is not only said orally, but is also being implemented in practice. “
