Former South African captain AB de Villiers said: “I am ready to go back to cricket right now. But the situation is due to the coronavirus, which could lead to the T20 World Cup next year.” If so, many things will really change. When the World Cup returns, I cannot say how fit I will be next year.
In an interview with a South African newspaper, Proteas hit the great de Villiers and added: “I am definitely ready to play again with the national team.” But if I don’t fit in or can’t hit team 5, then I won’t go back to the national team.
De Villiers retired from the national squad on May 27 after going out of shape.
He became interested in returning to the national team after retiring after his former teammate Marca Boucher’s South African coach last December.
AB de Villiers was expected to return to the South African team ahead of the T20 World Cup in Australia in October. But there has also been concern about the World Cup due to the coronavirus. If the World Cup finally returns to Corona next year, it will be uncertain whether De Villiers will return to the national team.
