It has been alleged that a 19-year-old housewife secretly recorded a video of her bathing in Shajahanpur, Bogra and spread it on social media. The mother of the housewife filed a complaint with the Shajahanpur Police Station on Monday afternoon.
The mother of the housewife said her daughter was married three months ago. The daughter-in-law has lived at home since the marriage. The girl’s father drove a rickshaw in Dhaka. The son-in-law stays away from home most of the time working as a bricklayer. He stays home with his daughter.
The victim’s mother further said that her daughter was taking a bath in the bathroom inside the home on Sunday afternoon. Ripon Islam, 24, the son of Nurul Islam from Kantabaria Dakshinpara (Patitpara) in neighboring Upazila’s Aria Union, secretly filmed his daughter’s bathroom through the hole in the bathroom door. When she saw her daughter at that moment, she screamed and Ripon pressed her face and insulted her. He threatened to spread the video on Facebook if he did not accept the bad proposal. At one point, Ripon fled when neighbors came over to yell at the girl. In this case, Ripon’s relatives are pushing to solve the problem.
The housewife said that Ripon is a drug addict and a genius. Earlier, a neighbor had filmed a special husband and wife scene. The couple were unable to seek legal redress due to fear and public embarrassment, as Ripon’s relatives had local influence. Therefore, Ripon is committing one misdeed after another.
The housewife added that if the video was spread on Facebook, there would be no choice but to commit suicide.
He tried to contact the defendant Ripon but could not find him.
Shajahanpur Police Station OC Azim Uddin confirmed the complaint and said that the police were trying to arrest the accused.
