However, on this day, students outside of Dhaka will observe a human chain in front of the central Shaheed Minar in Sylhet. He has announced that he will take a position before the National Press Club as of Wednesday if the demand is not accepted today.
The protesters said almost everyone in the Corona situation is in financial crisis. For this reason, the North-South authorities cut 20 percent of the enrollment last semester in response to student demand. However, this facility was canceled without notice for fear that the situation would worsen.
Attempts were made to contact the media more than once, but the authorities did not respond. So they were forced to join the movement. For the past two days, they have been blocking officers and employees, including the VC, from having their demands met. Stop the movement at night and go home.
Meanwhile, ordinary students have been gathering at the North South Campus since Tuesday morning. At 1 p.m., more than 100 students began a sit-in with signs demanding a 20% waiver of tuition and fee-based scholarships. They are having a sit-in in front of gate number one of the university.
The students said, “We have continued the movement for the past two days with our logical demands.” Today is the third day of the movement. The movement will continue until the demand is met. If the demand is not accepted for today, on Wednesday a human chain will be observed in front of the National Press Club.
He also said that current and former North South students outside of Dhaka will maintain a human chain in front of press clubs in all districts of the country.
They also said that although the university has asked for time until October 22 to implement our demand, no one announces responsibility. Our classes will begin on October 22. If the authorities do not implement our demands at this time, it will not be possible to join the movement.
