Lalmonirhat Aditmari Upazila Parishad Chairman Faruk Imrul Kayes has been suspended for misbehaving, abusing, insulting and threatening Upazila Nirbahi (UNO) officer.
A letter signed by Nurema Jahan, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives, Local Government Division, Upazila-1 (Branch), on Monday (November 30) mentioned the temporary removal of Aditmari president Upazila Parishad Farooq Imrul Kayes. According to the suspension, the president of Upazila Parishad, Farooq Imrul Kayes, had misbehaved, abused, insulted and threatened Upazila Nirbahi (UNO) officer. Farooq Imrul Kayes Aditmari Rural Development Officer Mosha: It has been mentioned that Nurela Akhter has also misbehaved towards him.
Activities against the President were initiated under Article 13 of the Upazila Parishad Act of 1997 (as amended by the Upazila Parishad (Amendment) Act of 2011). The letter mentions that the government has decided to temporarily remove him (president of Upazila Parishad) from his post in the public interest.
