UNO Wahida Khanam admitted to hospital, inset file photo of Wahida Khanam
Dhaka: Wahida Khanam, an officer of Ghoraghat Upazila Nirbahi (UNO) from Dinajpur, has been admitted to the Neuroscience Hospital in Agargaon, the capital. Earlier on Thursday (3 September), he was flown to Dhaka by helicopter at around 15:15.

On Wednesday (September 2), around 2 am, criminals entered her house and attacked UNO and her father with sharp weapons and hammers. ONE was seriously injured in the head and her father was seriously injured when she was stabbed with a sharp weapon.
In critical condition, UNO was first admitted to Rangpur Medical College Hospital (RAMEC). Later, his condition became critical and he was transferred to Dhaka by helicopter for better treatment.
Ghoraghat Police Station Officer-in-Charge (CO) Amirul Islam told banglanews that the cause of the incident was not yet known. UN and his father Amar Ali were staying at the residence at the time of the attack.
The attackers fled when government employees and people from the area came forward shouting UNO. They were later rescued and admitted to Rangpur Medical College Hospital in critical condition.
