Kishoreganj Sadar Upazila’s wife used to work in a bakery. He was out of a job as the bakery closed due to the Corona disaster. I was looking for a job within this closure. Taking advantage of the opportunity of poverty, his colleague Jahangir called him and asked him to meet him with false information about the opening of the bakery. After receiving the call, he went to Jinari. Jahangir and three others later raped and fled, wounding her. The injured woman was rescued by police and taken to the police station on Saturday.
Police raided several locations and arrested all three defendants. They are Tara Mia (24) from the Jinari area, Zaman (19) from the Piplakandi area and Jahangir Alam (28) from the Madhupur area of Tangail. SI Azharul said a case is being processed in this regard.
According to police, the accused rapists took the woman to the Seven Star bakery near Rampur Bazar in the Pumdi Union of Hossainpur on Friday night. They then took her to the Jinari village and raped her in a room near the home of the Munsur members.
The officer in charge of the Hossainpur police station, Sheikh Mostafizur Rahman, confirmed the incident and said that the three defendants were arrested. Police are conducting raids on various locations to arrest the other. A case is being prepared in this regard. At the same time, preparations have been made for the woman’s medical examination.
