UGC Instructions on Private University Final Exam

Director of branch of private university UGC. Instructions signed by Fakhrul Islam were sent to the rectors and registrars of all private universities on Monday.

Instructions-

# You can only take practical classes and exams from the last semester of undergraduate and graduate degrees.

# You cannot take more than one practical class and exam from a program in one day.

# Strict compliance with the hygiene rules of the Department of Health and the guidelines of the World Health Organization (such as the mandatory use of masks, physical distance, ensuring the supply of disinfectant on campus and in the class, etc.).

# Practical classes and exams must be completed with the participation of no more than 10 students in each class.

# Students must arrive on campus only half an hour before the start of practical classes and exams and leave within 10 minutes after the end. The oral exam for the respective course must be completed online.

# In the case of practical classes and exams, the distance between each student must be at least six feet. It is necessary to ensure that the distance is maintained on the university campus as well.

# It is the responsibility of the respective universities to organize the treatment of any student, professor or staff member who is infected with coronavirus due to practical classes and exams. The Commission will not assume any responsibility in this regard.

The letter also requested to ensure due observance and follow-up of the general guidelines issued on May 8.

On May 7 and August 18, the UGC instructed private universities to conduct online classes and exams, assessments, and student admissions in the wake of the Covid-19 crisis and its aftermath.

That instruction requires practical in-class testing and assessment of all lab courses to be completed directly in the classroom by allocating additional time as soon as the coronavirus situation becomes normal.
