Two university students, Anjir Ahmed Prantik and Alvi Mehedi, were killed in a motorcycle accident in Dhaka’s Nawabganj. Prantik, 20, was a student in the science department at Ideal College, Dhanmondi, and Alvi, 20, was a sophomore in the department of business education at Dohar-Nawabganj Government College. They died in a motorcycle accident in front of the Paragon Hospital in Kashimpur on the Nawabganj-Dhaka interstate highway.

Alvi is known to have died in a private hospital in the capital on Saturday morning. Earlier, Prantik died in the same accident while undergoing treatment in the ICU of another private hospital in the capital around 6:30 pm on Friday.

The deceased were identified as Mohsin Uddin Palash from Bagmara village under the marriage of Kalakopa from Nawabganj upazila and Alvi, a resident of Jalalpur village from the same union. Son of Azam.

According to family sources, on the night of the 30th, Prantik went out with his father to take a motorcycle key. At around 11 pm, on the way home, he lost control of his motorcycle in front of the Paragon Hospital in Kashimpur and collided with another motorcycle. At that moment, two of them fell and were seriously injured.

When the locals rescued the two and took them to the Upazila Health Complex, the doctor on duty saw that their condition was critical and advised them to take them to Dhaka for better treatment. They were later transferred to two hospitals in the capital.
