The International Cricket Council (ICC) named the top five centurions for 2020 at ODI on Friday.
And two star hitters from Bangladesh, Tamim Iqbal and Liton Das, have written their names on it.
The Bangladesh team has not had a chance to play more ODI since March last year.
The Tigers played a three-game ODI series at home against Zimbabwe in March. After playing three games in that series, two starters from Bangladesh made the list of the top five centurions of 2020.
The first centurion in the top five is Steve Smith of Australia. It has marked three centuries in 2020. Tamim Iqbal and Liton Das are in the second and third position respectively. Akib Elias from Oman is in fourth position by surprising the cricket world.
It has marked two centuries in the series against England. Aaron Finch from Australia has taken fifth place. It has also marked two centuries in the last year.
Last year, two Bangladeshi batsmen, Tamim Iqbal and Liton Das, also scored two centuries each.
In the series opener against Zimbabwe, starter Liton Das played a dazzling inning of 128 on 105 balls.
In the second ODI, Tamim scored 156 runs of 137 balls. What was the highest personal collection of any Bangladeshi batsman in ODI up to that game.
Liton Das broke Tamim’s record in the next match. In the third ODI of the series, Liton Das played a grand inning of 18 runs with 143 balls. This is the highest personal collection from Bangladesh in ODI so far. Tamim also scored 127 of 109 balls in the same game.
