Two Al Qaeda Members Arrested in Brahmanbaria

Members of the RAB-14 Bhairab camp arrested two members of the banned militant group Al Qaeda in Sarail, Brahmanbaria.

Based on secret news Thursday night in Shahbazpur village. They were arrested at the home of Gias Uddin.

Two extremist books, two photocopies of extremist books, four brochures, two mobile phones and three pages of mobile messages were recovered from them.

Those arrested are- Md. From Shahbazpur village. The son of Gias Uddin, Hafeez Md. Yahya (22) and Md. From the same town. Alauddin’s son said. Huzaifa Saad (20).

A press release issued by RAB Bhairab Camp on Friday afternoon said that RAB members led by RAB Bhairab Camp Company Commander, Additional Police Superintendent Rafiuddin Mohammad Jobayer, and Police Superintendent Assistant Squad Commander Mohammad Belayet Hossain raided the house in Dighindar in the village of Shahbazpur on Thursday night. He went on and arrested them.

The RAB said the detainees were members of the banned militant group Al Qaeda. They were stationed in the area in disguise and were attempting to carry out sabotage and anti-state activities at civilian and important facilities, including extremist propaganda.

During preliminary questioning, they identified themselves as active members of Al Qaeda. They tactfully recruit members from different areas.
