Two additional attorneys general Murad Reza and Md. Mamtaz Uddin Fakir have resigned. Both are known to have submitted their resignations to the Attorney General’s Office.

Murad Reza announced his resignation as Additional Attorney General on Sunday morning (October 11). He said he had sent his resignation letter to the president through the Ministry of Justice. However, he did not comment on the reasons for his resignation.

At the same time, Additional Prosecutor General Mamtaz Uddin Fakir submitted his resignation letter through the Procurator of the Ministry of Justice. He said he had decided to resign for personal reasons. He also said that there is nothing beyond this.

However, since the appointment of the new Attorney General’s Office last Thursday, the news of the resignation of the two has been heard.

Previously, on October 8, AM Amin Uddin, president of the Supreme Court Bar Association, was appointed as the 16th Attorney General of the country. President. Abdul Hamid appointed the lead attorney for the Supreme Court as Attorney General. AM Amin Uddin was elected Secretary of the Bar Association of the Supreme Court and President of the Association for two terms.

Mahbubey Alam, who had been the 15th State Attorney General since 2009, died on September 28 in the ICU of the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka.
