Twelve leaders have been expelled for throwing eggs and stones at the Uttara home of BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir. These leaders from different police stations in Mahanagar Uttar BNP were expelled for violating party discipline.
A press release signed by ABM Abdur Razzak, secretary of the Mahanagar Uttar BNP office, said on Monday that they were suspended from all positions, including senior members of Dhaka Mahanagar Uttar BNP, in accordance with Article 5 (c) of the constitution due to a violation of party discipline. This decision will take effect immediately.
Those expelled are BNP Vice President Dakshin Khan Thana, Phul Islam, members Nazimuddin Dewan, Amjad Hossain, BNP District 50 Secretary General Amanullah, Organizing Secretary Mokhlech, BNP Uttara East Organizing Secretary Thana Taizul Islam , Matiur Rahman Moti, Deputy Secretary General MA Hannan. Milon, the office secretary Habibur Rahman, the expatriate welfare affairs secretary Abdul Quader Swapan, the labor affairs secretary Harunur Rashid, the BNP member of Uttar Khan Thana Nur Mohammad.
Supporters of those deprived of the nomination for the Dhaka-17 constituency threw bricks, stones and eggs at Mirza Fakhrul’s home on Saturday. The High Command was extremely angry at this incident. Various allied bodies and organizations, including the standing committee, demanded the immediate identification and punishment of the culprits. The incident is being seriously investigated.
