Twelve leaders expelled for throwing eggs at Fakhrul’s house

Twelve leaders have been expelled in connection with the attack on the rented house of BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir in Uttara. These leaders from different police stations in Mahanagar Uttar BNP were expelled for violating party discipline. The information was given in a press release signed by Mahanagar Uttar BNP’s office secretary, ABM Abdur Razzak, on Monday. They were said to have been suspended from all positions, including the senior members of the Dhaka Metropolitan North BNP, in accordance with article 5 (c) of the constitution due to a violation of party discipline. This decision will take effect immediately.

Those expelled are: Dakshin Khan Thana, Vice President of BNP Ful Islam, Member Nazimuddin Dewan, Amjad Hossain, Secretary General of BNP District 50, Amanullah, Organizing Secretary Mokhlech, Organizing Secretary of Uttara East Thana BNP, Taizul Islam, Matiur Rahman Moti, Deputy General Secretary MA Hannan Milon, Daftar. Secretary Habibur Rahman, Expatriate Welfare Secretary Abdul Quader Swapan, Labor Secretary Harunur Rashid and Uttarkhan Thana BNP member Nur Mohammad.

Last Saturday, supporters of underprivileged candidates from the Dhaka-17 constituency threw bricks, stones and eggs at Mirza Fakhrul’s home. The BNP National Standing Committee expressed its anger, condemnation and protest immediately after the incident.
