Health Minister Zahid Malek made the remarks while addressing the inaugural function of the Manikganj Colonel Malek Medical College Hospital outpatient department here this afternoon.

“Even in the midst of the epidemic, GDP growth has continued,” he said. But all is well in Bangladesh. The US economy lags behind by 15% and India by 7%. But because the development wheel is turning in Bangladesh, we have made 5 percent progress.
He further said: “There are plans to establish medical schools in all districts on the instructions of the Prime Minister. The creation of 36 medical schools in the country has been approved. The government is working to provide health care to underserved people.
