US President Donald Trump is pressuring Sudan to follow the same path after normalizing relations with the Jewish state by recognizing the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain as Israel.

The Jewish lobby in the United States is very strong. As a result, Trump could benefit from the elections if he can normalize Israel’s relations with another Arab country before the elections, after two Arab countries: Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates.
Sudan is currently in financial crisis. Due to the long-standing embargo, the country has been hit hard by the economic recession. In this situation, the economy has collapsed and there is a risk of food shortages.
The United States and Israel want to take this opportunity to gain Israeli recognition for Sudan. Recognition was conditional on the removal of Sudan from the list of terrorist countries.
US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo traveled to Khartoum in August to make the proposal to the current civilian prime minister, Abdullah Hamdak, after overthrowing longtime hero Omar bin Bashir.
The transition to democracy requires Sudan’s internationally recognized compensations to get off the list of terrorist states. The Sudanese prime minister, however, does not agree with Israel’s recognition.
